Canadian Polar Data Workshop IV

The Canadian Consortium for Arctic Data Interoperability (CCADI), in cooperation with its partners, is pleased to welcome participants to the     
Canadian Polar Data Workshop IV, a follow-up to previous Canada-wide consultations held in 2015, 2017, and 2020.

 We have made the difficult decision for the safety and interest of all CPDW4 participants to postpone the event until May 2022.
The new workshop dates are May 23-27, 2022. 

Eighteenth-Century Matters (ECM) Workshop "Furs and Furbearing Animals in the Eighteenth-Century Imagination of the North"

We warmly invite you to register for Eighteenth-Century Matters' next workshop, co-sponsored by the Arctic Institute of North America.  The workshop, "Furs and Furbearing Animals in the Eighteenth-Century Imagination of the North," will be led by Dr George Colpitts (Dept. of History) on Wednesday 3 December, from 3-4:30 in TFDL 520D.  Fur specimens and rare books from the AINA collection will be on display.  Please email mckennej@ucalgary.ca to reserve a space.  We look forward to welcoming you to this event.

Sea Ice and Climate Modeling Forum on Large-Scale Sea-Ice Simulations, Reading, United Kingdom

Organizers announce a sea ice and climate modeling forum workshop on large-scale sea-ice simulations. The workshop will be held on 26 September 2014 at the University of Reading, in Reading, United Kingdom.

This one-day workshop provides a forum for users and developers of sea-ice models to start a joint effort for improving sea-ice models.

Sea Ice Modeling and Data Assimilation Workshop, Toulouse, France

Organizers announce a workshop on Sea Ice Modeling and Data Assimilation. The workshop will be held 15-16 September 2014 in Toulouse, France.

This workshop is organized by the International Ice Charting Working Group Data Assimilation Working Group (IICWG) together with the European Union's 7th Framework Programme Climate, Economics - Arctic Research on Change (EU FP7 ICE-ARC) project and is a continuation of a series of events from 2007 through 2013.

2nd Arctic in Rapid Transition Science Workshop, Plouzane, France

Conference organizers for the 2nd Arctic in Rapid Transition (ART) Science Workshop announce that registration and abstract submission is available. The meeting will be convened 21-24 October 2014 in Brest, France. This year's conference is entitled "Integrating Spatial and Temporal Scales in the Changing Arctic System: Towards Future Research Priorities."
